A dot of black in a sea of reflections. We can't tell if it's a movement or a call. It hides itself from detection. Tucked away in the corner of our eyes it only reveals itself in disguise. A glimmer makes it feel like a mistaken feeling. There is a certain fear we have. I have. That what we cannot see is not something that is in-existent, but far more something that hides itself intentionally. Our perception is subjective and thus flawed. It makes use of this to crawl silently over our shoulders, along the neck and into the most hidden corners of our sight. We maintain our fright as it climbs our shivers. It lives in the dawn and dusk of light. When we flip the switches. The short moment when we flood our rooms with brightness. The short moment when we flood our rooms with darkness. It is there for a split second. Even more fleeting that the morning dew, but with far more evil intent. What will happen when it takes over. Will we lose an eye to it or will it start blurring our vision. Eating at our ability to see. Watching the world with us. Constantly observing with us as we now need glasses. Eating away until we are left in darkness.

Quote

If they are watching, we must ignore it at all costs. Even if it means losing an eye or two
